“Then the channels of water appeared, and the foundations of the world were laid bare at Your rebuke, O Lord, at the blast of the breath of Your nostrils.  He sent from on high, He took me; He drew me out of many waters.”  (Psalm 18:15-16)

Out of the midst of many troubles the Lord lifts up those who turn to Him.  Trouble is in the world and shall remain until the end of this age, but it need not overwhelm you.  The Lord knows all that You need and provides even before You ask.  He will not condemn those for whom Christ died, but has purpose in all that comes our way.  Always seek the Lord, for in Him alone is the future.

Lord, You have called me out of the fog of this world to seek You and all of Your ways.  Guide me along the paths of righteousness You have established for Your name’s sake that I may walk them with You leading.  Guide me through all times of trouble in this age of constant turmoil.  Lead me to see in You every hope, knowing that Your will shall be accomplished through all that happens around me.

Lord Jesus, by Your example, help me see that You have already prevailed over the tribulations of this world.  Though there still be a time of rebellion, guide me away from such disobedience that I would walk in Your ways knowing that You have the words of eternal life.  Lead me, my Savior, in the way You would have me go and show me what is pleasing to the Father that I may continue steadfast in Your righteousness .  Amen.
