“O Lord, You have brought up my soul from Sheol; You have kept me alive, that I would not go down to the pit.  Sing praise to the Lord, you His godly ones, and give thanks to His holy name.”  (Psalm 30:3-4)

Though I die, yet shall I live.  The Lord gives life to those who though living in this age are dead.  He lifts up from the nothingness of being separated from Him to being eternally connected in, with and through Him.  The godly ones are the ones who turn to Him and live in the life He gives that they might fulfill their purpose in praising Him all the days of their life.  Look to the Lord and live.

Lord, You know the struggle I have in living for myself and not letting go of the temptations of this world.  My head knows, but my heart clings to what it thinks it knows.  Continue to bring me up out of the pit so that I may live to praise You alone whose work endures forever.  Guide me, O Lord, in the way You would have me go now and forever that I may give You thanks and praise.

Thank You O Lord for the goodness of Your salvation.  Lord Jesus, Word made flesh, You are the truth that shines in this age of darkness.  You are the One who has come into the pit that Your godly ones would be lifted up.  You are the One who calls to the assembly to live lives of thanks and praise.  May I live praising You, O Lord, now and forever and be forever thankful.  Amen.
