“For You meet him with the blessings of good things; You set a crown of fine gold on his head.  He asked life of You, You gave it to him, length of days forever and ever.”  (Psalm 21:3-4)

God is the giver of life and through the blessing of His grace, He gives eternal life.  Those who turn to Him see in the Lord the gifts of mercy He grants and recognize that in the author of life is all meaning, purpose and wisdom.  You need not know it all now, for eternity is before you, yet in the days you are granted here, time, the precious gift of allowing more to be known is given.

Lord grant that I would not waste the time You have given me on trivial things, but would turn to You and see in You the hope of eternity.  Guide me to pursue those things which You have in mind and learn from You through the grace and mercy You have shown.  Lead me O Lord, in the way You would have me go that I may follow where You lead.  Help me through the obstacles that come my way.

Lord Jesus, God in the flesh, who has granted grace upon grace to those who turn to You, guide me according to the Father’s will to walk in the ways I should go.  You have given me life and through grace the hope of life eternal with You.  Help me to not rest but move forward to the upward prize You have laid before me.  Lead me to see in You alone the hope of this and every generation.  Amen.
